About Our Foundation
Welcome to the Lewis & Clark Fort Mandan Foundation! Our mission is to preserve and reveal our unique sense of place, beginning with the Lewis & Clark Expedition at Fort Mandan and the stories of place, people, the land and the Missouri River.
The Lewis & Clark Fort Mandan Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that manages and maintains the North Dakota Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center and Fort Mandan, and is also home to The Dakota Institute. We are supported by hundreds of individual members from throughout North Dakota and across the world, as well as corporations, foundations and others who believe in the value of the stories we tell.
