The Lewis & Clark Fort Mandan Foundation will host its fifth annual Pet Walk from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

The Pet Walk will take place at the reconstructed Fort Mandan, two miles west of the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center in Washburn.

The Pet Walk will lead people and pets on a walk along Fort Mandan's nature trails, followed by contests with awards that include Best Trick, Best Strut, Furriest Pet and the Top Dog Award. Door prizes will be given away and a free lunch will be provided for all participants. All Pet Walk participants will receive complimentary dog treats courtesy of Farmer Tillie's Homemade Dog Treats.

The Pet Walk is free for all participants. Those interested can preregister by visiting www.FortMandan.com or calling 877-462-8535, or register at the door the day of the event.
