Posted on 4/11/2014

Bismarck, ND - The Bismarck Public Library and the Lewis & Clark Fort Mandan Foundation are teaming up to provide fun, family-friendly enrichment programs on April 14 and 15 as part of National Library Week.

The theme of this year's National Library Week is "Lives Change @ Your Library." The Foundation will present three interpretive programs for various age groups that focus on how people and historical movements have changed the lives of people in our state.

Children and families are invited to the pre-school oriented "Prairie Chicken Little Story Time" on Monday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Children's Story Room at the library. Older children and teens will enjoy the engaging game-based "Who Wants to be a Fur Trader" on Monday, April 14 at 4:00 p.m. Adults can enjoy "Eat Local," a Hidatsa cooking demonstration, including samples, on April 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the library's Meeting Room B. Each of these fun learning events are free and open to the public.
