Posted on 9/9/2014

WASHBURN - The Lewis & Clark Fort Mandan Foundation will host its 6th annual Pet Walk from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, September 13.

Pet owners are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends for a morning of activities catered to their furry companions. The Pet Walk will lead people and pets alike on a walk through Harmony Park at the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center. Door prizes will be given away and a free lunch is provided for all participants.

"This is a fun, outdoor activity for the whole family to enjoy," says Nicolette Borlaug, marketing director of the Fort Mandan Foundation. "You may walk the trail at your (and your companion's) own pace, taking in the beautiful fall day."

The Pet Walk is free for all participants. Those interested can pre-register at 701-462-8535, or register at the door the day of the event.

The Pet Walk is sponsored by Lewis & Clark Animal Hospital, Chase Drug, Farmers Security Bank, and River Ag, Washburn.
